NDSU students announce exhibit exploring Fargo-Moorhead’s taboo past.

Fargo, ND – “Taboo: Fargo-Moorhead” is the subject of an exhibit opening May 9 at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, Minnesota.

The exhibit is a project of the spring semester Museum Studies class at NDSU.

The unmentioned stories in the history of Cass and Clay counties are the focus of the exhibit, which explores prostitution, bootlegging, divorce, the Ku Klux Klan, and varied crimes in the area from the years 1871 to 1935.

Historic photographs and artifacts of the era will be on display.

The exhibit  will be shown at the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st Ave. N., on the river in Moorhead through August 2013, and then be displayed through the end of the year at Bonanzaville.
